For example: Good sense: "you are welcome to stay with us for as long as you like." Bad sense: "you’re welcome to do whatever you want with your life, but I think you’re making a mess of it."
I’ve seen other forms at Chinese factories and universities where they have a sign saying, "Welcome you to…..", which should be "We welcome you to our…" or "Welcome to our…"

The last saying seems a little bit awkward .Generally speaking , 'welcome to' is followed by a place or a party , etc.
Sure, just as Mr. Roger points out "Welcome you to….." is a bad direct Chinese translation.
On a map , it says , 'Beijing welcome you !" At sight of it , I almost got faint !
